About Robert Miller

The firm’s principal, Robert A. Miller, has successfully represented clients throughout a wide variety of cases and matters that run the gamut of civil litigation and litigation-related client representation for more than thirty years.

During his career, he has been

• a client representative and advocate handling day to day problems as counsel of record in pending litigated matters,
• a litigation strategist and client himself (as an in-house Litigation Manager for two major corporations overseeing and directing scores of cases in all stages of active litigation), and
• an expert adviser “interpreter” of legal matters, problems, and concerns for top corporate management (while serving as Managing Senior Counsel for one corporation, and Associate Chief Counsel and then Chief Counsel for another).

In addition to representing clients directly in pending litigation, throughout the past 15 years Mr. Miller has advised numbers of clients on litigation avoidance, effective dispute resolution techniques, creative dispute resolution/minimization strategies for settlement or containment of potential or actual litigation, and alternative approaches to reach effective results when facing seemingly intractable problems or controversies.

He has also been called upon by clients desiring a “second opinion” concerning the proper analysis of a case in which the client’s original counsel has not adequately explained or finalized his or her strategic approach to the key litigation problems or has otherwise allowed issues to arise as to the sufficiency of the representation provided to the client in the matter.
